Johnny has enjoyed an extraordinary career and is respected as one of the country’s finest directors. Enthralled at an early age by performance, storytelling, and stage craft, he studied theatre design and launched a celebrated first career as a Production Designer. Spellbound by the tale of a Mongolian Wolf Hunter turned ice racer, he documented a solo journey through Siberia to find this fabled character, which resulted in the documentary short, 'Nyemkas Dream' and catapulted the launch of his second career as a director. A masterful storyteller compelled by a dogged work ethic, he cultivates an empathetic connection to actors which is fostered by his grounded Mancunian sensibility. Johnny’s work has been awarded more than he cares to count. And the truth is that he doesn’t; his priority now is to create work that does good in the world.
